Lake Country Museum and Archives

Overview

Description

"Step back in time at the historic Lake Country Museum where you can learn about our history, understand our past and be enlightened for the future. While visiting take a break at the OK Patio Café, explore the park, playground, nearby beaches, and learn about our community. The Lake Country Museum was established in 1985 and is located in the former Okanagan Centre School. Through its exhibits and archives, the museum tells the story of the District of Lake Country and its four wards: Winfield, Oyama, Carr’s Landing, and Okanagan Centre. The museum’s artifacts include the histories of the orchards, wines, and ranching industries, turn of the century living, and collections from the early Japanese community." (from the business)
