Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village

Overview

Description

"The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is part of Alberta’s provincial network of historic sites, interpretive centres and museums maintained and operated by the Government of Alberta. The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is Alberta's premier Ukrainian-themed attraction. This unique open air living history museum tells the story of Ukrainian settlement in east central Alberta to 1930. Become a time traveler and explore over 30 historic buildings restored to their original condition. Along the way, visit with costumed role-players portraying real characters from 1892-1930. Enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride, authentic Ukrainian food, and specialty items found in the gift shop. Numerous special events held throughout the summer." (from the business)
