If you’ve ever wanted to make your own chocolate or learn all the wonderful intricacies and processes involved in making the world’s favourite treat, this is the class for you!
In 3 hours you will travel through time: from the history of the tree, to the myths, to the very real and important part cacao and chocolate played in the cultures of Mesoamérica. And of course you’ll also be making chocolate. From trying the raw fruit to roasting, grinding and separating the shell from the nibs you’ll be working just like a professional making award winning chocolate. You’ll learn some of the amazing medicinal uses of chocolate before making your own chocolate ‘medicine’ to take home. Finally, you’ll temper freshly poured molten chocolate and you’ll make your own bar to wrap and enjoy later.

Also will learn the details of the traditional way of cooking caribbean meals, and to select fresh ingredients that are locally produced to elaborate this meals. Cacao grows in Costa Rica and the chocolate we work with comes from cacao trees that are within 30km from our boutique. Get ready to experience chocolate like never before!

Welcome to Caribbeans this is a great tour to know the roots from Limon, you will see how the indigenous Bribri lives, how they create chocolate in a easy way and also you will learn a few words of his lenguaje and how they use to hunt, this is a great experience if you want to learn about other culture
Cahuita national park: The Jungla Trail offers a 1 km trek through a secondary forest offering beautiful landscapes, various flora and fauna.
Inside the trail, among the abundant fauna visitors may witness the 3 toed sloths, monkeys, raccoons and see different species of birds
This private tour combines two of the area's most amazing highlights in just one day. You will start your adventure at the Cahuita National Park, where you'll enjoy an educational hike through the lush forest that's filled with history and an incredible array of wildlife. We are one of the founding Afro-Tico families of Puerto Viejo. Come explore our local family-owned farm that has been in our family for 4 generations.
