Our Aix-en-Provence food tour is a walking tour around the historical center. The tourist is guided by a "Foodie", a local "buddy" able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities. Our tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing French culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. 2H: Wine-Tour in Provence

Sainte-Victoire route: Climb aboard a sidecar and drive along the beautiful roads of Aix and its vineyards. Follow in the footsteps of the renowned painter Paul Cézanne by admiring the famous Sainte-Victoire, represented on the artist's canvases. The Cézanne route is the only road in France classified as a historical monument! Meet the winemakers and visit an authentic wine estate with tasting. Or Rognes route: Through the Provencal roads, you can enjoy a setting of vineyards, cypresses, olive trees and oaks... but not only! Indeed you will ride on an old collapsed volcano, which due to its flat surface does not allow you to be seen. You will then be able to observe in this volcanic territory the remains of the volcano and the eruption. If the time is right, you can admire a field of flowering lavender. You can choose to visit an authentic wine estate and its art center or an atypical brewery with tastings included.

Sunset Lavender Tour from Aix-en-Provence

Because if you go to the lavender fields to take pictures, the golden light is between 8pm and 9:30pm. During the day the light is very strong and it can be very hot. We will leave Aix-en-Provence at 4:45pm so we can catch the nice sunset when we get to Valensole plateau. The trip to get there is around 45 minutes. You will be surrounded by fields of lavender, the famous Provençal scented plant, abound here. We will also stop in a lavender distillery along the way where you have the opportunity to buy products directly from the producers; and we will leave you some free time in the village of Valensole. The best time for lovers of typical Provençal landscapes to visit is middle of June to end of July, when Valensole plateau is awash with beautiful blue lavender in bloom. It's a sight – and scent – to behold!
